We have been providing skip hire services for over 40 years. Our experience has resulted in an efficient, responsive service for commercial, construction and industrial customers.
Arranging a collection
Collections are coordinated by our in-house Customer Contact Centre based at our Barking head office which operates an out-of-hours 24-hour emergency telephone service, please call 0845 548 5500 / 0845 658 8391. We are able to process orders at weekends and Bank Holidays. From our purpose built recycling centre we are ideally situated for providing prompt deliveries/collections to the city and surrounding areas. As communication is a vital aspect of our business all of our vehicles are fitted with radio control equipment and GPS tracking devices. This is backed up by a fully computerised bespoke order system which enables our operation team to programme workloads more effectively. This results in a benefit that is passed onto you through a more reliable prompt service.
How we manage your collection
Our Service Department is coordinated by a dedicated logistics team which coordinates deliveries/collections using the latest digital communications systems. The incorporation of GPS tracking and route planning software enables us to coordinate and manage waste to maximise the reliability and efficiency of the logistics operation.
The software contains a powerful diary system to keep day-to-day track of contracts and sophisticated reporting capabilities which enables us to prepare transactional and performance reports on demand.
The system contains an asset database of client sites and fully integrates with our logistics team to enable us to manage collections in real-time remotely by our operatives via PDA devices. It incorporates GPS tracking and route planning software to enable us to coordinate and manage waste collections to maximise the efficiency of the logistics operation and provide a complete audit trail of waste.
Our digital waste management systems have been developed to provide a seamless process which integrates data from collections (using PDA devices), the delivery at our facilities via the weighbridge system and outbound deliveries (PDAs) to automatically record and validate the quantity and destinations of client’s waste throughout each stage of the recycling process.
Collection operatives will enter details of each collection into a bespoke form set-up on a PDA which the client’s site representative is requested to check and sign. This information is sent digitally to the database where it is stored. The system is set-up to automatically email this information (i.e a Waste Transfer Note) for their records. Similarly data is recorded, stored and can be communicated at other stages in the recycling process to provide clients and regulatory agencies with a complete audit trail.
Every stage of the waste collection, recycling and marketing process is recorded digitally into our bespoke works system which provides us with a fully traceable audit trail of the volume and destination of the materials we handle.
Collections can be scheduled for regular volumes of recyclables or we can provide a responsive, on-demand service for more ad-hoc materials.
