Following a series of surveillance audits in November 2021, McGrath Bros. (Waste Control) Ltd’s integrated Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) management system has been successfully approved by the Assessors at the NQA.
In 2006 McGrath became one of the first London companies in the waste management sector to achieve ISO Certification in all three disciplines – Quality, Environment and Health and Safety when gaining certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 previously known as OHSAS 18001. Since achieving the accreditation ISO 50001 in 2018, McGrath has added the Energy Management to it’s portfolio.
The integrated system is based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle and consists of the policy, a comprehensive manual of procedures for operational tasks, inspections, audits and reviews. The system is managed and implemented by a dedicated HSQE Team.
Tara Donaghy, Business Director said “We have adopted the systems approach for controlling our business processes, which gives us a structured way of implementing best practice throughout the organisation. Our integrated HSQE system provides the discipline and framework to ensure that our work is carried out safely, consistently and sustainably.”
