Donations to local food bank
The McGrath Group have donated £200 worth of emergency items to the food bank in Barking including essential items such as pasta, tinned meats, laundry detergents, soap and nappies plus foods for the Christmas period.
Barking Food Bank was launched in 2012 as a need for emergency food had been identified in the local area. The food bank now operates from three distribution centres and is part of the Trusell Trust’s UK network of 428 Foodbanks working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, and across the UK.
Funmi Ikele, Barking Food Bank’s Operations Manager said “We are extremely grateful to the McGrath Group for their generous donation to our food bank including the Christmas foods that will certainly help those less fortunate through a time which can be a difficult period for many people accessing our food bank.”
