Kier – A new way of working
In the latest of several recent new contracts here at McGrath Bros (Waste Control) Ltd, we are pleased to announce that we have secured a new contract with construction giants Kier.
In an effort to be more economic, Kier put out to tender for local waste management companies in order to reduce distance between sites and plants for their construction waste. Following a tender to local contractors in the summer, Kier have added McGrath Bros to their database of recommended suppliers.
McGrath Bros (Waste Control) Ltd will now make up part of a database that will be automatically notified of Kier’s upcoming projects in the local area, whether that be road works, utilities, social housing or private refurbishments for example. Dependent on the project and size our range of skips, RORO’s and 24hr tipping will be made available.
This new contract will provide a new and efficient line of communication between the companies, who in the past have relied on third party brokerage firms. With the start of a direct relationship, we are now able to provide Kier access to our portal and therefore complete reporting, enabling a transparent and cohesive method of working in the most economic manner possible.
Dewi Williams, Category Manager from Kier says: “Throughout the tender process it was clear that McGrath mirrored Kier’s core values of being trusted, collaborative and focussed on delivering the waste services that we require and are now looking forward to working with McGrath over the next three years.”
