Real-time reporting

Waste management specialists, the McGrath Group, have launched a new web portal providing clients with 24/7 secure access to their Account Data, Waste Recycling Reports, Duty of Care and Compliance documentation.

The portal offers its clients a secure login and access to all current and historic data, presented in an easy-to-use format.

Tara Donaghy, McGrath’s Business Director said: “This new portal gives our clients the ability to create their own reports and other documentation. Previously we were sending reports out on a weekly basis but now clients can create reports on their waste history including their recycling rates for a specific period. Over time we will be expanding the amount of information available this way giving our clients access to real time collection and recycling data which will enable site inventories for better operational and financial insight, all to aid informed decision making. This strengthens our ongoing commitment to digitise workflows, creating real-time reporting and a paperless, robust audit trail.”

McGrath’s waste reports are unique to the waste industry as they calculate the carbon emissions generated during the collection, sorting and re-processing of each waste transaction and have been independently verified and accredited against the International Standard for Greenhouse Gas Reporting, ISO 14064 part 3.

They also provide a breakdown of destinations of clients’ wastes by hierarchy categories i.e. re-use, recycling, recovery and disposal making them compatible with the current Waste Regulations. The data can be easily extracted and entered into clients’ own environmental reporting systems to demonstrate compliance with Scope 3 GHG Reporting, the Waste Regulations and in-house sustainability targets.

The McGrath Group has been providing waste management services to construction, commercial and public-sector clients for 45 years. The London-based company operates a Zero-to-Landfill system for all non-hazardous wastes discharged at their licenced materials recycling facilities in London and Essex.
